The Edmonds Block Party – A Community Celebration

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the Edmonds Block Party, a vibrant community celebration bringing live music, great food, and family-friendly fun to the heart of Edmonds.

Launched in 2025, the Edmonds Block Party was created as a fresh new community event, thoughtfully reimagined to replace Taste Edmonds, a beloved festival stewarded by the Chamber for more than 40 years. Taste Edmonds played a significant role in shaping Edmonds summers for generations, raising critical funds to support other iconic community events and serving as a gathering place for residents, alumni, and visitors alike.

Over time, however, the event landscape changed. Rising production costs, evolving consumer expectations, and ongoing challenges within the restaurant and event industries made the traditional Taste Edmonds format increasingly difficult to sustain. The name itself suggested a food-centric experience that no longer aligned with the realities facing local restaurants, many of which are navigating staffing shortages and increased operating expenses. Limited event infrastructure further restricted participation by local businesses.

At the same time, the Chamber heard a clear and consistent message from the community: refresh the concept, better reflect what the event actually offers, keep live music front and center, and make the experience more accessible, especially for families.

“We took a hard look at the legacy of Taste Edmonds alongside the long-term sustainability of a signature summer event,” said Ryan Crowther, President and CEO of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce. “While Taste Edmonds will always be an important part of our history, it became clear that a new approach was needed, one that reflects today’s community, supports local businesses, and can thrive for years to come. The Edmonds Block Party is that next chapter.”

A New Tradition Takes Shape

The Edmonds Block Party embraces the spirit of connection and celebration that defined Taste Edmonds, while introducing a modern, flexible format designed for today’s Edmonds. The result is a high-energy, welcoming event that celebrates music and community, without losing sight of accessibility and sustainability.

What to Expect:

• Two Days of Live Music
  High-energy performances on the main stage featuring crowd-favorite songs and genres made for singing, dancing, and shared summer memories.

• Beer Garden (21+)
  An activated, social space featuring craft beer, local wine, ciders, seltzers, and assorted canned beverages. The beer garden includes front-row access to the main stage, and a lively atmosphere.
  The main stage is located within the 21+ Beer Garden.

• Food Vendors
  A curated lineup of food booths in the park, offering diverse global flavors from talented chefs and local food entrepreneurs.

• Family-Friendly Zone - Saturday (noon - 6:00pm)
  Saturday features a dedicated all access stage and activities for all ages, with free admission for guests ages 20 and under, making the event more accessible for families.

• VIP Block Party Experience
  A premium option within the 21+ zone offering a tented lounge, private bar with select offerings, limited seating, and private restrooms—perfect for guests looking to enjoy the event with a little extra comfort.

Event Schedule

• Friday, August 7: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM (21+ only)

• Saturday, August 8: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (21+ only after 6:00pm)

Music from the main stage can be heard throughout the event grounds; however, access to the stage area is limited to guests ages 21 and over.
